Sid is best known as one of the much loved original presenters of CBeebies and can still be seen starring in the dressing up adventure show Let's Play on the channel. He is a trained actor and a qualified life coach with a wide variety of life experiences. He has worked in all manner of industries gaining a host of insights from labouring in the building trade to corporate executive sales.
Eventually, a few twists and turns led to an opportunity to work as a post-delivery officer whilst training as an actor. As a performer, he has toured shows across main theatres and major venues in the UK and S.Africa, presented current affairs tv programmes, hosted the Saturday lunchtime slot on BBC Sussex radio, voiced BBC radio 4 drama's, created his own story CD's, and is still the main presenter for CBeebies in Africa.
He also produces, performs and tours live theatre shows and events for children through Root4kids Theatre, a company established to manage live engagements.
In his capacity as a role model for children and supporter of children's causes, Sid has met the queen, been an invited guest at No.s 10 and 11 Downing street and is actively engaged in a select number of children's charities. All of these combine to make Sid an effervescent, engaging and motivating speaker for any occasion. He regularly hosts, is a guest speaker and presenter at AGM's, conferences, events, lunches, evening/dinner affairs.
Sid is also interested in the issue of obesity in children and the basic science of healthy eating and exercise. He is currently working on combining these elements to support children and families to make daily healthy choices in the hope of helping to tackle the obesity epidemic affecting them.
